# Installation ## Stable release To install Generic Information Search: Mapping and Analysis of Publications, run this command in your terminal: ```console $ pip install gismap ``` This is the preferred method to install Generic Information Search: Mapping and Analysis of Publications, as it will always install the most recent stable release.
